Catch a Concord Solar Challenge Installation

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Sept. 10 in Concord.

1. Concord Solar Challenge InstallationAt 11 a.m. this morning, you can drop by the home of Enid and Mark Boasberg at 48 Laws Brook Road, to see the Concord Solar Challenge in action. Get the details here. 

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include a Conservation Coffee at 7:30 a.m., the Council on Aging Board at 5:30 p.m., the Concord Public and Concord-Carlisle Regional school committees at 6 p.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m., a Fire Department Public Forum--Emergency Medical Service Strategic Plan at 7 p.m., the Library Committee at 7 p.m, the 2229 Main Street Oversight Committee at 7:30 p.m. and the Concord Cultural Council at 7:30 p.m. 

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it, yesterday we shared the story of a "Discover West Concord" raffle offering up gift basket put together by more than two dozen local businesses. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out.

4. Concord/Carlisle Girl Scout Fall Sign UpLocal Girl Scout troops are accepting new members. Signups are available online here: www.hergirlscouts.org or in person at the Concord Scout House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 or 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. 

5. Showers, Maybe: Isolated showers are possible today, with a high of 81, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts patchy fog overnight and a low of 61.
