'Climate Crisis' Series Starts at First Parish, 'Side Show' Opens at Emerson Umbrella

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Oct. 25 in Concord.

1. "The Climate Crisis: Why Only a Movement Can Save Us"Craig Altemose, executive director of the Better Future Project, will kick-off a new speaker series focusing on solutions to the climate crisis at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 25, at First Parish in Concord. Get the details here. 

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, the only public meeting posted for Oct. 25 is the Concord Area Special Education Collaborative Board of Directors at 12:30 p.m.

4. Emerson Umbrella Presents 'Side Show': At 8 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 25, Emerson Umbrella will debut its production of the rarely staged Broadway musical, SIDE SHOW, an orchestra-backed musical that follows the lives of co-joined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton on their meteoric rise to fame during the Depression backdrop of the 1930s. Get the details here. 

5. Sunny but Cool: Should be mostly sunny today, but with a high of just 49, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a clear evening and a low of 29.
