DIY Ornaments, a Holiday Tree Lighting and More in Concord

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Nov. 26 in Concord.

1. Holiday Ornament PaintingDrop into Barefoot Books at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26 to let the kids create their own one-of-a-kind ornaments by painting premade bisque pieces at the Thoreau Street bookshop. Get the details here.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Nov. 26 include the Trails Committee at 8 a.m., the Local Emergency Planning Committee at 9 a.m., the Concord and Concord-Carlisle School Committees at 6 p.m., Concord Cultural Council at 7:30 p.m.

4. Emerson Hospital Auxiliary Tree-Lighting Announced: The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary will continue its 25-year-old tradition by holding its annual Tree of Lights ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m. Get the details here

5. Warmer, But Might Rain: Should be mostly cloudy today with a high of 44 and a chance of showers, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts rain overnight and a low of 38.
