1. Former Boston Celtic Chris Herren to Speak at CCHS: Chris Herren, the former Celtic, current motivational speaker and addiction survivor, will be at CCHS at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, to share his story and insights surrounding his recovery from substance abuse. Get the details here.

Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Oct. 16 include the CCHS Building Committee Site Based Subcommittee at 2:30 p.m., the Concord & Concord Carlisle Regional School Committees--Joint Meeting at 5:30 p.m, the CCHS Building Committee at 6 p.m., the Natural Resources Commission at 7 p.m. and the White Pond Advisory Committee at 7:30 p.m.
