1. Former Boston Celtic Chris Herren to Speak at CCHS: Chris Herren, the former Celtic, current motivational speaker and addiction survivor, will be at CCHS at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, to share his story and insights surrounding his recovery from substance abuse. Get the details here

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Oct. 16 include the CCHS Building Committee Site Based Subcommittee at 2:30 p.m., the Concord & Concord Carlisle Regional School Committees--Joint Meeting at 5:30 p.m, the CCHS Building Committee at 6 p.m., the Natural Resources Commission at 7 p.m. and the White Pond Advisory Committee at 7:30 p.m.

4. Fenn School Speaker Series Welcomes Michael Thompson for Best Friends Worst EnemiesAt 7 p.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 16, Dr. Michael Thompson give a free talk at the Fenn School that will distinguish between the normal social pain of childhood from which all children learn and actual bullying, which is traumatizing. Get the details here

5. Sunny Day, Showers Tonight: Should be mostly sunny today, with a high of 65, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a chance of showers overnight and a low of 48.
