It's Halloween in Concord

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Oct. 31 in Concord.

1. It's Halloween! Which means many families around town will send out their little costumed creepers and characters out in search of candy. In the meantime, you can brush up on the holiday's history here

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are no public meetings posted for today.

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it, the Massachusetts State Police will hold a Sobriety Checkpoint this weekend in Middlesex County.

4. 5th Annual Intel-OARS Environmental Innovators ContestEntry forms are due Oct. 31 for the 5th Annual Intel-OARS Environmental Innovators Contest, which invites folks to use creativity to solve real environmental issues in the Concord Watershed, earn cash prizes and have fun. Get the details here

5. Today's Weather: Spooky clouds are still with us. Peek-a-boo sun and a mild, ghastly southerly wind developing in the afternoon. Passing shower possible, but many dry hours. Highs in the low 60s! Mid/upper 50s for the little little ghosts and goblins! Hold on to those bags of candy in the wind.
