Library, Emerson Umbrella Holiday Sales Start on Friday in Concord

What you need to see, do and know on Dec. 6 in Concord.

1. Holiday Book SaleThe Concord Free Public Library's Holiday Book Sale opens Friday, Dec. 6, offering locals the chance to buy gently used books at bargain basement prices while also supporting library programs with their purchases. Get the details here.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Dec. 6 include the Local Option Local Income Tax Committee at 8 a.m. and the Heywood Meadow Stewardship Committee at 8 a.m.

5. Rain Friday, Maybe Snow Overnight: A strong chance of rain today, with a high of 52, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a chance of snow and sleet overnight as the low drops down to 31.
