'RED' Takes the Emerson Umbrella Stage Friday Night

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Sept. 27 in Concord.

1. "Red" at Emerson UmbrellaAt 8 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 27, "Red," the Tony award-winning play, opens at the Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts. Get the details here

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings ported for today include the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Advisory Committee at 8 a.m. and the Concord Retirement Board at 8:30 a.m.

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it, earlier in this week we shared the news that Concord resident and MIT astrophysicist Sara Seager has won a MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out. 

4. Toddler Singalong with Ed Morgan: At 3 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Concord Free Public Library. 

5. Same As Yesterday: Friday should be another mostly sunny day, with a high of 67, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a partly cloudy with lows in the mid-40s.
