Special Town Meeting Convenes Wednesday Night in Concord

What you need to see, do and know on Dec. 4 in Concord.

1. Special Town MeetingA special Town Meeting will convene at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 and its warrant includes articles seeking to repeal the town's bottled water-banning bylaw, to purchase 6.5 acres of land off Knox Trail in Acton to use for parking school buses and other school vehicles and to purchase land on Commonwealth Avenue in West Concord to use as parking space for users of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, other public meetings posted for Dec. 4 include the Tax Relief Committee at 8:30 a.m., the Public Works Commission at 6:30 p.m., the Board of Selectmen Pre Town Meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the the Planning Board at 6:30 p.m.

4. OARS 2013 Photo Contest Exhibit Opening and ReceptionNinety photos taken by 27 photographers from along the Assabet, Sudbury and Concord Rivers were submitted to the OARS 2013 Photo Contest and the winners will be celebrated in a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at ArtScape at Bradford Mill in West Concord. 5. Sunny Day, Could Rain Tonight: Should be mostly sunny today and warm, with a high of 45, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts possible showers overnight and a low of 32.
