Summer Workshops, Meetings and a Story You Shouldn't Miss

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Aug. 13 in Concord.

1. Fun Summer WorkshopsToday's summer workshops at Dabblers Hobby Shop and Cafe in West Concord include a two-day workshop on framed mosaic suncatchers from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and basket weaving from 1 to 2:30 p.m. 

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Millbrook Tarry Task Force at 7 p.m. and the 2229 Main Street Oversight Committee at 7:30 p.m. 

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it yesterday, we shared the story of Concord residents Kristin and Jim Canty's plans to open a farm-to-table restaurant in the former home of the West Concord Supermarket. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out

5. Showers, Maybe: There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms today, with a high of 79, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more possible rain overnight and a low of 57.
