Concord's A Place to Grow Celebrates 35 Years

An open house will be held Saturday.

Suzanne Foley and some young friends at A Place to Grow are helping to celebrate the school's 35th Anniversary at its Concord location at 40 Strawberry Hill Rd.

Foley, who is a Concord resident, founded A Place to Grow in 1979 in Belmont. At the time, she was a working mother with four young children.

On Sat., March 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Foley will host an open house at the Concord location.

"We welcome families to visit and learn about our childcare and early education curriculum," she said.

Foley’s professional background in childcare includes ten years as an adjunct faculty member at Simmons College in Boston, teaching early childhood education and curriculum.

"We welcome babies, toddlers, preschoolers and pre-kindergarteners at our centers," adds Foley. "Now ... A Place to Grow cares for more than 300 children and their families in Concord, Belmont and at our three locations in Arlington."
