Community Corner

Are you a high school student looking to make an impact on your community? Applications available for the Summer Institute for Youth Leadership.

The Foundation for MetroWest is delighted to launch a two-day program designed  for high school students (rising freshmen through seniors). During the program, participants will learn about the importance of becoming involved in their community and develop a keen awareness of their own potential as well as skills necessary to become successful leaders. Participants will learn how to evaluate local nonprofit organizations and work together to award a grant to the nonprofit of their choice. In addition, guest speakers will attend to teach participants a variety of life skills, including how to  create a resume,  balance  a checkbook, and work effectively as a team. The program runs Tuesday July 22, 2014 - Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Apply early as spots are limited!

The cost to participate is $250 and includes lunch, t-shirts, and all supplies needed. For more information and/or to apply, please contact Cori Kaufman at 508-647-2260 or ckaufman@foundationformetrowest.org
