BlumShapiro Announces Bedford Resident Peter Lang as Partner

BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, today announced the addition of Peter Lang as a partner in its consulting practice.

Lang comes to BlumShapiro with significant experience in manufacturing operations, information systems and technology deployment, performance management, business transformation and organizational change, among other areas. He will be based in BlumShapiro’s Newton, Massachusetts office.

Prior to joining BlumShapiro, Lang worked as the Director of Business Development at Protégé Software, an Oracle Implementation professional services firm in Woburn, Massachusetts. In this role, he managed and directed a $12 million consulting business unit, which he grew from $3 million. 
Additionally, Lang has directed internal and external teams in complex solutions employing supply chain management, business intelligence, customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning and eCommerce strategy. Lang has also previously worked at IBM, Grant Thornton and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).

At BlumShapiro, Lang will utilize his expertise in key industries, including manufacturing and distribution, software companies, professional service firms and healthcare organizations.

Lang is a member of the Boston Society for Information Management (SIM) and the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). He graduated from Wittenburg University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and from the University of Hartford Barney School of Business, where he earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance.
