Foundation for MetroWest Grants $4,500 to Cooperative Elder Services

Concord, MA – January 13, 2014 – Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) recently received a $4,500 grant from the Foundation for MetroWest.  CESI will use the generous grant to enhance and expand the Memory Care and Music Therapy programs at their Groton and Concord Adult Day Health centers.  The funds will directly benefit frail and low-income elders from the MetroWest communities who rely on day programs to maintain their health and quality of life.

A non-profit Adult Day Health organization serving elders since 1979, CESI operates centers in Concord, Groton, Burlington, Arlington and Milton.  CESI provides a welcoming day-time environment for local seniors, with nursing care, nutrition, socialization with peers, therapeutic activities, social services, caregiver support and round-trip transportation offered throughout the week.  The mission of CESI is to delay or prevent nursing home placement by promoting health and independence, so that vulnerable elders can age in place.  To learn more, please visit www.elderdayservices.com
