Garden Club of Concord Gives to Cooperative Elder Services, Inc.

Concord, MA – February 6, 2014 – Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) recently received a generous $450 grant from the Garden Club of Concord.  The grant supports the Therapeutic Gardening Program at CESI in Concord, where seniors enjoy a variety of gardening-related activities throughout the year.  The program is very successful thanks to the Garden Club’s ongoing support. CESI is a non-profit Adult Day Health organization based in Lexington, with centers located in Arlington, Burlington, Milton, Groton and Concord.  CESI provides a welcoming day-time environment for local seniors, with nursing care, nutrition, socialization with peers, therapeutic activities, social services, caregiver support and round-trip transportation offered throughout the week.  The mission of CESI is to delay or prevent nursing home placement by promoting health and independence, and enhancing the quality of life for elders living in the community.  For more information, please call Eileen Lawson at 978-318-0046 or visit www.elderdayservices.co

The Garden Club of Concord seeks to promote appreciation of and to aid in the preservation, restoration and development of gardens and natural environments in Concord, through education and community service projects.  For more news about Garden Club activities, visit gardenclubofconcord.org
