A sailing enthusiast, Linda spent many wonderful summers as a child with her family at Wingaersheek Beach and sailed frequently on small charters and sailing camps. Her forebears have a significant history of sailing and the sea.

Linda and Don bought a business in Ft. Lauderdale that manufactured a Whitehall rowing skiff, a day-sailer, and a sloop.   After eight years, they decided to move back to Concord and continue their original careers.  They chartered several catamarans in search of the ultimate boat and found a beautiful 37’ French-built Fontaine-Pajot Antigua Maestro.  After purchasing the boat in Martinique, they sailed through the Caribbean and brought the boat to Islamorada, Florida where for the next eight years, they made numerous trips to the Bahamas.  In 2005 with some friends, they sailed from Islamorada to Beverly and now keep “Zephyr” at the Jubilee Yacht Club where they have been long-time members.
