OBITUARY- Nathan Patrick Mobley

Nathan Patrick Mobley, age 39, of Pepperell died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his Pepperell home following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie Nutter-Mobley.

Born in Concord on February 1, 1975 he was the son of Sherry (Dee) Mobley and Jack Mobley of Pepperell. He attended Pepperell public schools, Summit School in Amherst, New Hampshire and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend.

An avid skier and snowboarder, he was a former member… of the Nashoba Valley Ski Team.

As a defensive tackle for the North Middlesex Cowboy’s youth football team, he was the recipient of the Most Impressive Defensive Lineman Award. He also excelled in soccer as a youth playing for the Bandit’s Traveling Soccer Team.

He was employed as a funeral assistant at his family’s funeral home, the Dee Funeral Home in Concord. He also was self-employed as a painter and carpenter operating his own business called Jack-of-all-Trades.

In 2005 he volunteered in his father’s birthplace of New Orleans, helping to rebuild homes of relatives and friends following Hurricane Katrina. He returned to Massachusetts with a rescue dog, Jackson, a black lab that remained faithful by his side until his death.

A longtime Pepperell resident, he enjoyed fishing, summers in East Dennis, Massachusetts and Alton, New Hampshire, motorcycling and cooking. He was a devoted friend to many.

In addition to his wife, Stephanie and his parents, Sherry and Jack, he is survived by his grand uncle and aunts, Norman Dee and his wife Joan of Concord, Martha (Dee) Pagano, formerly of Concord, Melva Cheramie of Galliano, Louisiana; his aunts and uncles, Susan Dee Johnson and her husband Mark of Concord, Charles W. Dee Jr. and his wife Dari of Concord, Wade Mobley and his wife Cynthia of Marrero, Louisiana, his cousins, Windy Mobley and her companion Jason Gabriel and Stacy Kallies and her husband Robert, all of Marrero, Louisiana; Pamela Pickering and her husband Shawn of Framingham; Matthew Adams and his wife Stacy of Beverly; Blayne Dee and Danny Dee, both of Concord. His mother-in-law, Charlene (Strombos) Nutter of Lowell and his father-in-law, William E. Nutter Sr. of Pepperell, his brothers-in-law, William Nutter Jr. of Athol, Gregory Corbin of Holden and Jacob Corbin of New Hampshire.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday July 2nd from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 10 AM.

Burial will follow in the family burial plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.

Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Tuesday, July 1st from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM.
