OBITUARY- Constance E. O'Neil
Constance E. (Payne) O’Neil, 87, longtime Concord resident, died Saturday, April 19th in Littleton. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late Richard O’Neil who died in 2011.
Born in Westford on June 26, 1926 she was the daughter of the late John and Madeline (Mulcahy) Payne.
Mrs. O’Neil attended Graniteville Schools in Westford and graduated from Concord High School in 1944.
During World War II, she was an assembler at Raytheon. She later was an… Operator for the New England Telephone Company in Concord Center and an employee of the Concord Public Schools Lunch Program for thirty years.
A devoted wife and mother, she loved her annual vacations to East Brewster. She was a former member of the Maynard Country Club and enjoyed gardening and outdoor work.
Survivors include her children, Michael P. O’Neil and his wife Teresa of Maynard, John R. O’Neil, Jr. of Leominster, Susan E. O’Donnell and her husband Kenneth of Littleton, Jane F. O’Neil of Berlin, Margaret O. Conway and her husband Michael of Webster, NH, her grandchildren, Richard J. O’Neil and Molly E. O’Neil of Maynard, Caitlin O’Neil Bain and her husband Matthew of Huntington, NY, Courtney M. O’Neil of Arlington, VA, Michael J. O’Donnell and his wife Jessica of Pepperell, Matthew R. O’Donnell and Rebecca E. O’Donnell of Littleton, and Ian R. Mills of Berlin, her great grandchildren, Mikey and Jackie O’Donnell of Pepperell, and her sister, Madeline Belmont of Concord. She was the mother of the late Kathleen M. O’Neil, and sister of the late Sonny Payne and Jack Payne.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd from 4 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 11 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 12 noon in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
Interment will follow in the family burial plot in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Bedford Street, Concord, Massachusetts.
