Obituary, Jean Patterson Smith

Jean    Patterson   Smith, age 95 of Concord formerly of Acton passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Plymouth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Plymouth.  She was the wife of the late William Vail Smith.

Born October 23, 1918 in Springfield MA she was the daughter of the late Ralph M. and Enid (Bausch) Patterson.   

She attended Boston University and Ogden Nursing School in New York.    Jean was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.  She worked as a medical technologist at Emerson Hospital for many years.  She was also a member of the American Guild of Organists and enjoyed numerous organ concerts with her husband Bill.  She continued to take organ lessons well into her late 80's.

Jean is survived by her daughters Barbara Jean Kendrick and husband Paul Kendrick of Longmont, CO. and daughter Patricia Anne Visner and husband Ladis Visner of Plymouth, MA.  Also 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son William Warren Smith.

Her service will be held in the spring at a time, date and location to be announced.
