OBITUARY- Jeanne M. Flynn

Jeanne Flynn was raised in Milford, MA, the daughter of the late Ben C. Lancisi and May Mackey. Her mother, May, ran the well-known May Mackey School for Dance. Jeanne joined her as a trained dancer herself, eventually taking over the business when her mother died at a young age. Jeanne was talented with a great eye for business.

Jeanne married Dan Flynn and together raised five amazing children. After spending years in New York and New Jersey for Dan’s business, they returned to Massachusetts, settling in Sudbury.

Their family enjoyed wonderful summers on Shelter Island, Long Island and spent active winters travelling and skiing in New England.

As the children grew, Jeanne started a 2nd career in Real Estate. She enjoyed much success in business, made many friendships in the community, while her children were enrolled in the Sudbury schools.

Jeanne was an exciting, strong and loving person. She had a special talent for bringing magic to events, especially holidays that made everyone want to be part of the fun and look forward to each year with anticipation. She had an uncanny sense of knowing when someone in the family needed just a little bit more and somehow made it happen. A party would become an event in her hands. She thought of everything: these skills she taught her children. She knew how to work very hard but also knew the value of playing with the family and enjoying one another.

She was a remarkable woman; someone you wanted to have for a friend - you worked for her approval and she was someone who had enough energy and love to raise a beautiful family. She loved being with her children and was able to do it right to the end of her life.

One of the things that gave her the most pride was her grandchildren. She spent as much time with them as she could. They adored her.

She was the treasured wife of the late Daniel F. Flynn and the dearly loved mother of Meg Flynn of Roslindale, Martha McGuire of Sudbury, Dan Flynn of Mendon, Paula Flynn of Upton and Michael Flynn of Greenville, NC., and the adored sister of Ben Lancisi of Louisiana, Paula Lancisi of Beverly and Vincent Lancisi of Maryland. She was also the Bella Nonna of 8 magnificent grandchildren. Complete obituary to be posted soon.
