OBITUARY- Lawrence M. "Larry" Strang

Lawrence M. “Larry” Strang, of Concord, died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Dorgan) Strang, and devoted father to Michael F. Strang.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on September 10, 1947 he was the son of the late Lawrence J. and Virginia (Whalen) Strang. He was raised in Rochester, New Hampshire. He attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, New Hampshire. He received a BA from The College of the Holy Cross in 1969.

For many years, Mr. Strang was an Investment Banker working in the finance industry including Soloman Brothers and First Albany.
He was a voracious reader and contributed to many eventful discussions with family and friends.

Having grown up in New Hampshire he had a love for that area, especially his camp on Lake Winnipesauke. Most important to him were his relationships with his family, friends, and most important of all his wife and son.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, and son Michael F. Strang, he is survived by his sisters-in-law, Joan Jordan of Plymouth, and her late husband Richard D. Jordan, and Barbara Tully of Wellesley and her late husband George L. Tully. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Joseph G. Jordan and his wife Sarah, David R. Jordan and his wife Stacey, Cathy M. Jordan, Joseph G. Tully, and Claire M. Tully.

Visitation:
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Thursday, August 15th from 4 to 7 PM.
Service:
Funeral will be held on Friday, August 16th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 AM.
