Photography by Lexington’s Ben Havens on Display at Emerson Hospital’s Main Street Gallery

An exhibit of Ben Havens’ digital photographs is on display in the Main Street Gallery at Emerson Hospital through June 8, 2014.

 

Havens, a Lexington resident, is passionate about using natural light and reflections to create a spiritual effect in the various cycles of nature.

In addition to juried shows at Lexington’s Piper Gallery at Cary Library and the Dome Gallery at the North Cambridge Art Association, Havens was an artist of the month at Starbucks in Lexington. He has also participated in SOWA Open Market in Boston’s South End and at Assembled, the handmade arts market at Assembly Row in Somerville.

A graduate of Boston College, Havens studied photography at Middlesex Community College, New England School of Photography and Boston College’s Fine Arts Center.

 

The Main Street Gallery is operated by the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary. All work in the gallery is for sale, with 30 percent of the sale price donated to the hospital.

 

The Auxiliary supports Emerson through community awareness, patient support and fundraising activities. Anyone interested in becoming a member or learning about the Auxiliary should contact Karen McCarthy at (978) 371-2133.
