Surgeon Eric Mahoney, MD Joins Emerson Hospital

Surgeon Eric Mahoney, MD has joined Walden Surgical Associates in Concord, where he is practicing alongside Atif Khan, MD, FACS. Both physicians are on Emerson Hospital’s medical staff.

 

Dr. Mahoney earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Rhode Island Hospital.

Dr. Mahoney is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. His clinical interests include surgical critical care, complex hernia and abdominal wall reconstruction, and injury prevention.

Dr. Mahoney, who lives in Sudbury, said his experience at Emerson prior to joining its surgical staff has been personal. “I’ve been more than happy with the care my family has received here,” he said. “It’s a privilege to be part of a first-rate hospital like Emerson.”
