5 Things: Fun with Clay, a Concert on the Lawn

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 10 in Concord.

1. Kids Clay Intro WorkshopAt 3 p.m. this afternoon, Barefoot Books is hosting a clay workshop to introduce kids to working with clay. This week's subject is coiling, and kids will be able to leave the piece for firing and come back and paint it. Get more info here

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Municipal Light Board at 8 a.m., the Tax Relief Committee at 8:30 a.m., the Natural Resources Commission at 7 p.m. and the Millbrook Tarry Task Force at 7 p.m.

3. Los Sugar Kings PerformAt 7 p.m. tonight, Cuban ensemble Los Sugar Kings will give a concert on the front lawn of  the Concord Free Public Library in the first performance in this year's Music on the Lawn series.

5. Showers, Thunderstorms Possible: There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms today, with a high in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a warm night with a continued threat of storms and a low of 71.
