5 Things: Learn the Basics of Cake Decorating

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 15 in Concord.

1. Cake Decorating WorkshopAt 7 p.m. tonight, Chef Dan Charbonneau will lead a workshop on the basics of cake decorating at the Fowler Branch Library. Children age 12 years and up will learn about the art of working with cakes and will be able to decorate a small one. Registration, which began July 1, can be made by visiting www.concordlibrary.org.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are no public meetings posted for today

3. Sinking What FloatsAt 10 a.m. this morning over at the Children's Discovery Museum in Acton, they'll be testing different objects in water and try to force some natural “floaters” to the bottom of the water as part of the PEEP Science Adventures
