5 Things: Pajama Storytime, Rainbow Girls Honored

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 9 in Concord.

1. Pajama StorytimeAt 7 p.m. tonight at the Concord Free Public Library, children ages 3 and older are invited for stories, fairy tales, songs and fun. It's the first of weekly Pajama Storytimes, from July 9 through Aug. 13. 

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Town Governance Study Committee at 8:15 a.m., the Hugh Cargill Trust at 9:15 a.m., the Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council at 9:30 a.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m. and the Comprehensive Sustainable Energy Committee at 7:30 p.m. 

3. Concord Rainbow Girls Recognized for AchievementsConcord Assembly No. 53, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (Rainbow), announced that several of its members received awards and recognition at the Grand Assembly sessions held in Plymouth. Get the details here.

5. Little Cooler, Slight Chance of Rain: Should be a bit cooler today, with a high of 82 and 50 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts patchy fog overnight and a low of 65.
