5 Things: Readers Theatre, Coffee and Conversation

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 2 in Concord.

1. Readers' TheatreAt 4 p.m. this afternoon at Barefoot Books, there's a 30-minute, interactive storytime that allows new and confident readers to practice their skills reading aloud in a fun group setting. As an added bonus, participants can get 40 percent off titles read during this special storytime. This free event is appropriate for children ages 5 to 8. Ages 5-8.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Town Governance Study Committee at 8:15 a.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m., the Comprehensive Sustainable Energy Committee at 7:30 p.m. and the 2229 Main Street Oversight Committee at 7:30 p.m. 

3. Looking for a Little Coffee and ConversationIt's happening at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center at 10:30 a.m. this morning.

5. Showers, Maybe: There's a chance of heavy showers today with a high of 81, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more of the same overnight and a low of 68.
