Concord Woman Celebrated by Red Cross

The American Red Cross of Massachusetts celebrates its donors Wednesday.

The American Red Cross of Massachusetts celebrated its donors at a reception generously hosted by the Mandarin Oriental, Boston on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Among the attendees were June Tatelman of Boston, Christian Sibley, a high school student who raised more than $7,000 by throwing a concert for the Philippines relief effort; Roman Blanco, President and Chief Executive Officer of Santander, a major supporter of the American Red Cross.

Marie Jordan, of Concord, a member of the regional board of directors, was on hand to celebrate donors – and she is one herself. Jordan is a member of Team Red Cross – She is running the Boston Marathon to raise funds for the programs and services of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts.

Jordan is also a member of the Tiffany Circle, a society of women united in their support of the American Red Cross.

Board Member Geri Denterlein noted the Feb. 12 reception is one of the last events in Massachusetts for CEO Jarrett Barrios, who is leaving to lead the LA Red Cross. During his tenure, the Red Cross responded to the Boston Marathon Bombing and united the state into one American Red Cross of Massachusetts. “We are now Massachusetts Strong under his leadership,” she said.
