The Halloween festivities are a big hit at Concord Park, Gaudet said. "The seniors get to see something that's a little bit more fun and out of the ordinary."

Hats will be separated into adult and youth (under 14) groups, and judged in three different categories: most original, scariest, and most whimsical. There is a $25 limit on how much each entrant can spend on his/her decorations.

Prizes for the adult categories include $50 certificates to , , and . Youth prizes include a $50 gift certificate to , and $25 gift certificates to and Reasons to be Cheerful.
