Central Middlesex County, including Concord, is expected to see strong to severe thunderstorms late Thursday and Thursday night, along with a localized flood threat according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase throughout the afternoon across interior southern New England. A few of these storms are expected to be severe.
The best chance of this weather pattern is currently expected to be between the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. and could produce strong to damaging wind gusts and hail.
Heavy rain with the stronger storms could produce localized flooding in areas with poor drainage.
