Town Announces Affordable Housing Opportunities

A condo at Concord Commons and two units at the new Shaw Farm Village neighborhood are available at affordable rates, according to a pair of announcements from the town. 

The condo is an 896-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bath unit with a large deck, an open floor plan and granite counters and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. It's available for $154,500 on a first come, first served basis to eligible applicants earning 80 percent or less of area median income, according to the town website. 

There will be an open house from 1 to 2 p.m. this Sunday, Jan. 12. You can find more information about the unit and/or an application here. 

The other two affordable housing opportunities are a two-bedroom and a three-bedroom home at Shaw Farm Village, a new neighborhood of eight village Colonial-style homes off Elm Street. 

The two-bedroom home is 1,790 square feet and features two-and-a-half bathrooms. The three-bedroom is 2,118 square feet, has two-and-a-half baths and also features a single-car garage. 

They will be sold by lottery to qualified applicants. The maximum sale prices are $161,600 for the two-bedroom and $179,200  for the three-bedroom. 

A public information meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29 to provide more information about the Shaw Farm Village properties and the application process. In the meantime, there's additional information and an Application Information Packet here.
