1. Concert to benefit Alzheimer's Association

Why Go: The Liberty Alzheimer Partnership of Greater Concord presents jazz pianist and Acton physician, Elliot Steger, and his Jazz Trio in the 10th annual concert to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Called “The Color of the Night is Purple,” the gala will begin with a festive reception featuring a complimentary wine bar and a silent auction, followed by Steger and his acclaimed Jazz Trio.

2. Middlesex CC Arts & Crafts Fair
Where/When: Middlesex Community College, 591 Springs Rd, Bedford; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17
Why Go: Middlesex Community College’s 18th annual Arts & Crafts Fair will feater more than 60 artists and crafters will be selling their work. Among the many unique, handmade items available will be stoneware, baskets, jewelry, glassware and holiday decorations.

3. Childrens's Magic Show & Fair
Where/When: Methodist Weekday School, 2600 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17
Why Go: Methodist Weekday School presents its annual Magic Show & Fair, featuring 3 magic shows by George the Magician, as well as children's activities like face painting, tattoos, hair art, obstacle course, crafts, food & treasure bags.

4. Nashoba Brooks School Country Fair
Where/When: Nashoba Brooks School of Concord, 200 Strawberry Hill Rd, Concord; 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17
Why Go: For the annual Country Fair, the school will be transformed into an old-fashioned fairground, replete with kids’ carnival games, prizes, basket raffles and lunch. Local and school organizations will be providing information booths, as well as face and hair painting. All proceeds support selected charitable causes and other parents’ association efforts.
