Why Go: The Morning Glory Ringers will present a one hour concert which will feature not only handbells, but the vocal talent of some of the choristers

2.Around the World Crafts Fair
Where/When: First Baptist Church, 1580 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15
Why Go: It's a crafts sale featuring wares produced by women from Zambia, Ghana, India, Uganda and the US who are caregivers of orphans and/or trying to support themselves and their families through income generating projects

3. Afternoon with the Authors and Illustrators at the Concord Museum
Where/When: Concord Museum, 53 Cambridge Tpke, Concord; 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1
Why Go: It's a chance to meet some of the esteemed authors and illustrators whose books are featured in Family Trees, including Honorary Chairs Jane Yolen and her daughter Heidi E. Y. Stemple, Ilse Plume, Grace Lin, Jeannie Brett, and Lynn Plourde.

Where/When: Munroe Tavern, P.O. Box 514, Lexington; 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15
Why Go: Because it's a re-enactment of a little known act of rebellion in which Lexingtonians burned their tea on the common three days prior to the Boston Tea Party. You can hear Rev. Clarke proclaim against use of tea, fife and drum music, don some Colonial dress if you can and contribute tea to the bonfire.

5. Santa Visits Dabblers
Where/When: Dabblers, 119 Commonwealth Ave, Concord; 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16
Why Go: Because Santa will be spending the afternoon at Dabblers, a West Concord shop where you can pick up materials to make fun holiday crafts.
