Concord Orchestra: "Mahler's Farewell"

The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, opens its season with a single work, Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 in D Major.  This final work of Mahler was described by Leonard Bernstein as “a series of farewells” and by Alban Berg as “the most marvelous thing that Mahler ever wrote.”  The concert will be at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden in Concord.
