EXHIBIT OPENING: "This Garden Spot of Concord, Mass.": Farming at Nine Acre Corner

Coming to the Concord Free Public Library Gallery, October 5th to December 31st, 2012.

The public is warmly invited to attend the opening on October 5th from 6:30-8:00 in the lobby of the Concord Free Public Library. Light refreshments will be served.

Our speaker will be Kristin (Anderson) Emerson. In her talk, Over the River and Through the Woods, Kristin will reminisce about her grandmother, Esther Wheeler Anderson, and life on the Wheeler family farm at Nine Acre Corner.

The exhibit features images, documents, manuscript materials, maps, aerial photographs & ephemera from William Munroe Special Collections at the Concord Free Public Library. Also included are farm implements from the collection of John Kanis, fourth generation working farmer and owner of Frank’s Family Farm in Lancaster, Massachusetts.

This exhibit is offered in collaboration with The Greatest Source of Wealth: Agriculture in Concord at the Concord Museum, October 12th, 2012-March 17th, 2013.
