Kids Creative Writing Workshop at Barefoot Books

Does your child (age 7-10) have a great imagination? Do they love the idea of ‘writing books’ but get stuck along the way? Don't miss this 2-day summer workshop where children learn the basic elements of solid creative writing (character, setting, plot and dialog), then select fun themed prompts to unleash their inner voice. This interactive workshop -- led by Barefoot staffer Helen Kampion, MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults -- will allow children to stretch their imagination and learn from one another's fiction writing. Writing journal provided to each participant. This is a precursor to our fall 2012 Creative Writing Club for kids. Limit of 8 participants. $80 for this 2-day workshop; 25% sibling discount.
