New Coffee Shop Opens in Concord Center

Haute Coffee is up and running in Comella's old digs at 12 Walden St.

Concord’s caffeine scene just got a little more interesting.

Haute Coffee, a new gourmet café, has joined the ranks of Dunks, Starbucks, Main Street’s, Dabbler’s, Tea Cakes, Trail’s End and the other spots around town to grab a cup of joe.

The brainchild of Kimberly and Rob Scott, Haute Coffee will offer an array of fresh-ground pourover coffee, assorted teas, hand-pulled espresso drinks and syrups made from scratch. As far as foodstuffs, right now they’re serving a full menu of tartines, soups, salads and baked goods for breakfast and lunch from Monday through Saturday, with a limited brunch-style menu on Sundays.

With a few days under their belt, Kimberly Scott said customers have been supportive and complimentary of everything from the quinoa granola to the tomato-basil-burrata sandwiches to the grapefruit olive oil cake to, of course, the coffee.

“We have received a tremendous amount of local support and very positive feedback,” Kimberly wrote in an email. “We have been very thoughtful about every aspect of our shop and I think everyone really appreciates that and is excited to have us in town. … And we are over the moon to be here.”

As of right now, the hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
