Kevin Flint Joins Emerson Hospital as Associate Chief Nursing Officer

Kevin Flint, RN, BSN, MBA-HCM, OCN has joined Emerson Hospital as associate chief nursing officer.

 

“Kevin's leadership will help us achieve the highest level of quality care and service excellence in an environment of professionalism, respect, teamwork and trust,” said Joyce Welsh, vice president for patient care services and chief nursing officer at Emerson.

In his new role, Flint is responsible for the overall management of Emerson’s acute inpatient services in supporting the mission, vision, values and philosophy of the Patient Care Services department.

Flint has demonstrated a high level of leadership talent with diversified nursing experience in acute care and outpatient hospital settings. For the past four years, he was director of inpatient medical and telemetry nursing, and director of outpatient oncology and infusion nursing services at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, N.Y. Previously, Flint had an 18-year career with Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky., beginning as a staff nurse in oncology.

 

Flint received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill., and he received his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.

 

Flint lives in Newton.
