Apple Valley Montessori School at Musketaquid Earth Day parade

Local Montessori school participates in Concord's Earth Day parade

We attended the Musketaquid Earth Day parade and Festival on Saturday. About 5-6 parents and a dozen or so children joined in to march in the parade with an Apple Valley banner, shirts, and a symbolic apple tree made up of green and red balloons.

It was a beautiful spring day, and the parade was quite vibrant. There was music, many large puppets and lots of participants in the parade. I'm not sure which is more fun, watching a parade, or being in one!

After the parade we had a table at the festival at Emerson Umbrella with information about Apple Valley Montessori school. We gave out free balloons, invitations to our upcoming screenings of the movie "Mother Nature's Child", apple slices, and maple sugar candies with a leaflet describing how the students at Apple Valley actually participate in making maple syrup from trees right at our school.

A fantastic day! Thank you to everyone who participated, and to everyone who stopped by our table.
