Five Things: A Gardening Movement, School Committee and More

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on Dec. 11 in Concord.

1.Promote a Food Gardening Movement: At 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center, you can join the Garden/Life, Community Gardens, Concord Garden Club, Gaining Ground, CSA growers and neighborhood garden associations for a community conversation looking to engage new gardeners by providing skill building and hands-on learning/doing opportunities.

2. Youth Risk Behavior, Budgets on School Committee Agenda: The Concord and Concord-Carlisle school committees are holding a joint meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at CCHS, and their agenda includes the 2012 Youth Risk Behavior Survey fiscal 2014 budget discussions and more.

3. Other Public Meetings: According to the town website, other public meetings posted for today include the Hugh Cargill Trust at 9:15 a.m. a Natural Resources Commission site visit at 4 p.m., the Council on Aging at 5:30 p.m., the Library Committee at 7 p.m. and the Natural Resources Commission at 7:30 p.m.
