  1. Warm and Chance of Rain– There is a 40% chance of rain, although it held off yesterday. Let's hope it does the same. Highs of 70, cooling off at night with lows of 59.

  2. Canceled! Concord-Carlisle HS Building Committee Meeting – Tonight's meeting has been canceled. As of today, no date has been set for a makeup.

  3. If you or someone you know would like to blog for Concord Patch, let Greg Abazorius know right away. Patch will be rolling out its new blogging section on May 4 and we'd love you to provide your voice to the site!

  4. On 29 Prairie Street (The Thoreau School) from 6- 9 p.m., Patricia MacLachlan and Gregory Maguire will talk about their books, the writing process and the importance of books to children. This will be followed by a question and answer period, book signing, and reception. Books will not be sold; please bring one to be signed.

  5. Today in History – In 1972, Betty Boothroyd became the first female to be elected Speaker of the British House of Commons in its 700-year history.
