1. Gardeners Swap and Talk: The Concord Good Food Network is hosting a swap and talk for gardeners of all experiences and abilities from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the .

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Advisory Committee  at 8 a.m.; the Citizens Committee to Study School Transportation at 7 p.m., the Board of Appeals 7:30 p.m. and the Finance Committee, also at 7:30 p.m.

3. Only One More Week to Vote for Your Favs: What are you waiting for? Voting in our -- searching for your picks for the cream of Concord in all kinds of categories -- ends next Friday, Aug. 17.

4. OARS Photography Contest: Got a few shots of Concord's three rivers that you'd love to share? OARS is seeking photographs illustrating the beauty and challenges of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers Watershed. Photos must be taken within the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord  watersheds and be submitted to office@oars3rivers.org by Sept. 21. Winning photos will be featured in OARS’ 2013 calendar. 5. Showers, Maybe: Should be sunny and warm, with a high of 87 and chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts the chance of precipitation persists into the evening with an overnight low of 67.
