It's nice to know about the Pilgrim fathers setting out on this date. The Pilgrim mothers and singles, as everyone knows, were inadvertently left behind due to an unfortunate omission in the trip checklist. This was noticed when supper time rolled around and nothing was on the table. All's well that ends well, as the need to circle back for them gave the fathers a chance to bond while being the first to learn about not stepping in coils of ropes, staying out of the way of the boom when changing direction, and the importance of knowing which was the downwind rail. :-)
