Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 14

Up with People, meetings and more today in Concord.

1. Up With People Perform: You've probably been hearing about this for weeks, but the he multinational cast of Up with People will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Concord-Carlisle High School to present its original preformance "Voices." Additional shows are scheduled for Sunday at CCHS.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, the only public meeting posted for today is the CASE Collaborative Board of Directors at 12:30 p.m. at the Ripley Building.

3. Buddhist teaching with Geshe Pema Dorjee: Jhamtse International, a Concord-based nonprofit, is offering a three-day lecture series with respected Buddhist teacher, monk Geshe Pema Dorjee, over at Lincoln-Sudbury High School. The first is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.
