Police Log: Camera Reported Stolen, Checks on a Wrecker

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb. 18

1:18 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report snow drifting across Lowell Road in the vicinity of Lindsay Pond Road.

11:27 a.m. – Middlesex Engineering reported a residential alarm activation on Simon Willard Road. Police cleared after the building checked secure.

11:27 a.m. – Police responded to a reported burglary alarm from the John Cummings Building on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. Emerson Hospital Security was advised, and confirmed it was accidental by an employee.

1:21 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Sudbury Road and Route 117. The responding officer assisted with the paper exchange.

3:36 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Commonwealth Avenue at Laws Brook Road.

6:52 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported in front of 51 Walden, partially blocking traffic. The car was pushed to the side of the road was AAA responded to the scene.

8:15 p.m. – A Highland Street resident reported receiving a FedEx package addressed to an Emerson Hospital doctor, who was expecting the package. An officer went to retrieve the package and bring it to the station, where the doctor was to pick it up the following day.

10:21 p.m. – A Fairhaven Road resident called 911 to report a middle-aged man dressed in black who showed up at his home claiming to be a tow truck driver looking for another Fairhaven Road residence. The responding officer made contact with the wrecker, from McGrath’s Towing, who was on the street to assist a Stop & Shop truck stuck in a snow bank.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

8:30 a.m. – A 911 call came in from Emerson Hospital’s Cancer Center. It was confirmed as accidental.

12:16 p.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Emerson Hospital, which turned out to be an apparent phone issue.

2:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a loose dog on Commonwealth Avenue in West Concord.

2:41 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a camera stolen from a Main Street resident’s car on Feb. 8.

3:11 p.m. – A license plate was reportedly found at Nashawtuc Country Club, and then turned in to the Police Station.

3:25 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a large, green hose in the middle of Deacon Haynes Road. The responding officer reported it apparently fell off of a septic truck.

7:45 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Hugh Cargill Road, just off of Lowell Road. Police checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.
