Riders Raise Funds for Wounded Warriors

Images of this weekend's Soldier Ride at the Old Manse.

The start of Irene's wind and rain on Saturday, Aug. 27, could not keep more than 500 cyclists from participating in the Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride.

The ride took off from the at 9:15 a.m. following an address from former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling. The event raised nearly $150,000 for wounded U.S. soldiers.

Tom Beardsley, historic site manager at the Old Manse for the Trustees of Reservations, shared these photos with us from the morning of the ride.
