Wild Storm Barrels Through Concord

The storm tore down trees at the Concord Country Club Monday.

Powerful thunderstorms barreled through Concord Monday, prompting a rare tornado warning.

Several people captured what appeared to resemble a funnel cloud over Route 2 in Acton. In Concord, the storm tore down trees at Concord Country Club.

There was no immediate confirmation of a tornado touching down; the National Weather Service said it issued the warning because conditions could have produced one.

The storm drenched the town but caused little damage aside from fallen trees.

More extreme weather is on the way, as thunderstorms were in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday.
