2014 Mary Lesneski Memorial Lecture & Tea at the Concord Museum

Erica E. Hirshler, Croll Senior Curator of American Paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, presents the 2014 Mary M. Lesneski Lecture.  Hirshler is the author of Sargent's Daughters:  The Biography of a Painting and co-organized the recent John Singer Sargent Watercolors exhibition at the MFA Boston.  She will discuss Sargent's portraits of women focusing on the iconic The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit, and Sargent's fame as one of the most successful American portrait painters of his time.  Lecture followed by an elegant Afternoon Tea organized by the Concord Museum's Guild of Volunteers.  Non-members $30, Museum Members $25.  Reservations concordmuseum.org or 978 369 9763 ext. 216.
