Concord Free Public Library Art Gallery

Opening Reception: July 15, 5:30 - 7:30pm
Exhibition will be shown: July 1 – August 22, 2014

The 6 x 6 Show, representing the work of six local artists, opens

at the Concord Free Public Library Art Gallery, 129 Main Street, Concord on

July 1 and runs through August 22, 2014.
Invited a year ago to hang this innovative summer show together, the artists will welcome everyone at an Artists’ Reception on Tuesday, July 15, 5:30 – 7:30pm, when they will all be present for informal discussion of their work.
The gallery is open six days a week: Monday – Thursday, 9AM-9PM, Friday, 9-6, and Saturday, 9 – 5.
The 6 x 6 artists are Tally Forbes, acrylics and watercolors,

Wendy Israelite, torn paper collages, Jaehyang Oh, sculpture,

Priscilla Parrott, mixed media, Marie-Louise Petrie, pastels, and Irene Stapleford, paintings on panel.

Forbes, Israelite, Parrott and Stapleford reside in

Concord; Petrie in Carlisle, and Oh lives in upstate New York.
The show features sculpture, acrylic, watercolor, india ink, pastel, and

collage media work by these artists whose style varies between landscape and figure in both representative, and abstract expressions.
The 6 x 6 show highlights the combined commitment of these artists to speak

their passion with their hands. It offers the viewer a wonderful

opportunity to decide for themselves what speaks to them personally.
