CC Chess Club Starts

For
chess lovers of all ages who want to learn and improve their play. Develop
memory, critical thinking skills, sense of fairness, attention span, and have
fun. Players grouped by level to ensure a fun and rewarding experience.

The Level 1 class (2-3 PM) For beginners and intermediates, instruction in
elementary tactics and strategy and individual game play. 

The Level II class (3-4 PM) for chess players to develop abilities, knowledge and
skills and consider tournament play - openings, advanced tactics and strategy,
middle game, endgame.

Club play is from 4 to 5 PM - practice and play.

Vadim Martirosov is a highly experienced Chess Master (Highest Fide
rating: 2345). He studied chess in the USSR under the supervision of Oleg
Privorotsky (Kasparov’s first coach).

9-week winter series begins January 26. $120 for Club and Instruction. No charge for seniors dropping in to play at 4 PM.
