Concerned about traffic in West Concord Village?

Please come to an Open House on Thursday, May 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., to discuss your concerns and ideas surrounding traffic in West Concord Village. The event, hosted by the West Concord Advisory Committee, is intended as the start of a formal discussion about traffic concerns along the Commonwealth Avenue corridor. Already sometimes at a standstill, traffic is bound to get worse with several developments and projects coming into the Village. Those include the 74-unit Brookside Square on Beharrell Street, the proposed 80+ assisted affordable units proposed for the MCI property (known as Junction Village), the new restaurant at 24 Commonwealth Ave. and the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. The rerouted school buses could also have an impact. The meeting will be attended by representatives of the above-mentioned projects and a traffic engineer, as well as representatives from the town. The WCAC will develop a report from the discussion to deliver to town officials.
